Inclined vibratory sepn. conveyor - has spaced imbalance generator for improved sepn. e.g. of rubber from metal scrap

A mixt. sepn. appts. has an inclined vibratory conveyor unit provided with an imbalance generator (4) which is spaced (3) from and pref. extends transversely to the conveyor channel (2). The imbalance generator (4) comprises one or more out-of-balance motors located below the conveyor channel (2). A single motor (4) may be arranged midway along the conveyor channel, with its symmetry axis (7), parallel to the conveyor channel, being spaced from the conveyor channel bottom by a distance (3) corresp. to half the conveyor channel length. USE/ADVANTAGE - For sepg. scrap rubber, cables, etc., to recover non-ferrous metals and rubber, e.g. from shredder scrap. The spacing of the imbalance generator causes upward motion of rubber and downward motion of e.g. metals or PVC on the conveyor, resulting in more efficient sepn. of rubber.
