FOOD PACKAGE WITH INTEGRAL HANDLE AND DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME

PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for making a shrinking food package with an integral handle. CONSTITUTION: A food package 46 with an integral carrier handle comprises food accommodation portion 48 to contain packaged food between plies of a heat shrunk film and a self-supporting handle 50 which is united with one end of the food accommodation portion 48 and located within a plane extending from that end outward in the longitudinal direction. The self-supporting handle 50 includes a grip portion 64 formed by self-supporting strip of at least one ply of a heat shrunk film 54 which is positioned almost vertically to the plane.
