PURPOSE:To provide an overheat protector for motor in which processing time is shortened by simplifying the operation and influence of initial temperature is suppressed at the time of starting a motor. CONSTITUTION:A control block comprises a controller 11 and an overheat protector 12 for motor while a servo motor 3, a current detector 2, and an encoder 4 outputting the moving amount of the servo motor 3 are interlinked. The overheat protector 12 for motor comprises a three-phase/two-phase converting block 121, an absolute value calculating block 122, a reference current calculating block 123, simulated quantity of heat converting blocks 124, 125, a simulated total quantity of heat code decision block 126, a simulated total quantity of heat clear block 127, a maximum simulated total quantity of heat recording block 128, and an alarm decision block 129. |
