PURPOSE:To provide the security management mechanism and its terminal equipment for the communications network system capable of preventing the information leakage to unauthorized users of a medical picture database system and preventing the unauthorized preparation, change, and deletion of information by discriminating the authorized user of the terminal equipment even when a user interrupts the operation of the terminal equipment and leaves the terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:The work station is connected with the medical picture database system and exchange information with the network through a network interface 19. This security management mechanism includes the work station having an ID card reader 24 inputting the access information to the work station, ROM 15 storing a table to discriminate the legality of the inputted access information, infrared-ray sensor 25 detecting the interruption of using the work station or detecting the restarting, and magnetic disk 17 saving the information before the interruption of work. |
