摘要 The method of testing circuit boards/cards having a number of electrodes (P1,P2 etc.) which each e.g. define the location of discrete components employs test electrodes (D1,D2 etc.) with identical configuration to the board electrodes (P1,P2 etc.). By means of precision alignment table, the board or test electrodes are capable of movement in the X and Y directions. The procedure involves the search for a position of maximum conductivity between the board (P1,P2) and test (D1,D2) of electrodes employing several movements (delta X, delta Y) and corresponding measurements of conductivity. The results are stored and evaluated to reveal optimum alignment when a final setting enables the board characteristics to be examined for quality and the absence of track short circuits etc. ADVANTAGE - Enables accurate alignment of test electrodes with greater reliability.
