PURPOSE:To accurately make judgement regarding the deterioration state of such a frictional engagement element as maintained in slip state under feedback control, and properly cope with the deterioration. CONSTITUTION:In a system where constitution is so made that a frictional engagement element is maintained in specific slip state under feedback control, it is detected at the time of releasing a frictional engagement device whether the element is going to be again engaged after the start of slip. If there is any situation where the re-engagement is detected, it is judged that the deterioration or the like of a frictional material and ATF (automatic transmission fluid) is taking place, and subsequent feedback control is interrupted. |
