PURPOSE:To obtain a photoelectromotive device with its generated voltage polarity variable by applied light wavelengths. CONSTITUTION:A first layer 1 is made of an alkali earth metal, chalcogenide with at least one element added out of europium, cerium, manganese, and copper. A second layer 2 is made of an alkali earth metal, chalcogenide with at least one element added out of samarium, bismuth, and lead. In the structure of a photoelectromotive device, a photoelectromotive layer 3 is made up of the first layer 1 and second layer 2, and is put between a pair of electrodes 4, at least one of which is transparent. |
