摘要 An assembly for separating materials into separate phases incorporates a medium which effects the separation prior to removal through separate outlets. The separation medium is a particulate porous elongated block of material incorporating a first channel for the two-phased process material and a second channel into which the permeate migrates and through which it is removed. The particulate porous block is made of metal, ceramics or plastic. The block particles may be sintered or joined by adhesives. Pref. sepn. filter consists of an elongated block made of particulate matter into which the unseparated phases flow through a first channel. One phase permeates through the particle block to the second channel from which it is drained. USE/ADVANTAGE - The assembly is an economic substitute for industrial membrane filters and inorganic powder filters. The particle filter prevents blockages, is easy to clean, is undamaged by high pressure, inexpensive to make and has an efficient area-volume ratio.
