PURPOSE:To obtain the rotary optical connector which can pass or generate plural light signals at the same time and also perform signal transmission to and from a rotary system with compact constitution and has high reliability. CONSTITUTION:Plural optical fibers 1-3 are connected to one or both of connection connectors (reception side and transmission side), and photodetecting elements 4-6 are arranged, for example, concentrically at opposite positions on those signal lines and connection connectors. Then the reception side and transmission side are coupled with each other in a relatively rotatable state. Consequently, the signal transmission to and from the rotary system is performed with the compact constitution and the high reliability is realized. |
