COATER OF ULTRAVIOLET HARDENING TYPE RESIN AND PRODUCTION OF OPTICAL DISK BY USING THE COATER

PURPOSE:To control a warpage due to coating of ultraviolet hardening type resin and to obtain a disk excellent in mechanical precision by providing the projected parts for attracting and holding the disk to the inner and outer circumferences of the disk holding member of a coater of ultraviolet hardening type resin and making the height of the projected part for attraction of the outer circumference part lower than the height of the projected part for attraction of the inner circumference part. CONSTITUTION:A coater of ultraviolet hardening type resin is provided with a disk holding member 2, the means 4, 5 for supplying this resin on a disk 11 fitted to the member 2, a disk rotating means which rotates the disk 11 at high speed and uniformly stretches the resin and coated film hardening means for hardening the coated film by ultraviolet rays. The projected parts 6a, 6b for attracting and holding the disk 11 are provided to the inner and outer circumferences of the disk holding member 2. The height of the projected part 6b for attraction of the outer circumference is made lower than the height of the projected part 6a for attraction of the inner circumference part. As a result, a warpage based on coating of ultraviolet hardening type resin is controlled and a disk excellent in mechanical precision is obtained.
