PURPOSE:To efficiently manufacture a base excellent in flatness of a laminated layer in three processes by forming a porous base block, forming the gas impermeating layers on predetermined peripheral portions of the base block, and slicing the base block in a predetermined thickness. CONSTITUTION:In a first process, powder such as ceramics is molded by dry press or the like, followed by baking at a temporarily baking temperature, thus obtaining a porous base block. In a second process, the base block is formed by plasma thermal spraying method or the like. Gas impermeating layers are formed in required portions on the inner circumferential surface and outer peripheral surface of the base in the case where the base is provided with an inside manifold through which reaction gas flows while they are formed in required portions on the outer peripheral surface in the case where the base is not provided with the inside manifold. In a third process, the base block is sliced, thereby obtaining a base having the gas impermeating layers. |
