Servo driven flow valve - has heated memory metal spring and securing catch for valve drive

The flow control is via an axially adjustable plate (9) with radially operating holding catches to secure the plate in the open/closed setting. A memory metal spring (7) is heated and cooled to move the plate between the settings. The memory metal spring is positioned around a central guide stub (5) inside which is the controlling heater element (6). The spring drives a sleeve (8) with a conical thrust end (8a) to operate on the plate catches (10b). USE/ADVANTAGE - Compact valve drive, self locking valve.
