摘要 A pneumatic motor has flexible vanes (2) which are radially mounted on a shaft (1) and which have free ends travelling along the inner wall of a surrounding housing (4) having a compressed air inlet and outlet, the vane length being greater than the free distance between the shaft and the housing inner wall. The free ends of the vanes may consist of plastics (e.g. polyamide or PTFE), metal or ceramic. Pref. the vanes (2) consist of spring steel sheet, plastics or rubber and have free end made of low friction material such as plastics (e.g. polyamide or PTFE, metal (e.g. steel, white metal or sintered metal) or ceramic (e.g. ZrO2 or TiN). The inner wall of the housing (4) pref. consists of or is lined with a low friction material such as plastics, ceramic or (sintered) metal. ADVANTAGE - The motor provides a high air expansion ratio resulting in increased power and efficiency; can be dry-running to avoids pollution by oil mists; it not prone to vane seizure; has constantly tensioned vanes providing automatic sealing and allowing slow-running; allows running in any rotor setting and any motor position; and produces no exhaust noise since the compressed air is almost fully expanded before exhau
