a) Lockable valve including a shut-off slide valve, particularly one which can be adjusted using an operating handle.

- the attack surface (10) is practically transverse to the direction of translation of the valve stem (4) and pointing towards the bearing surface (8),
- in the locked position, the bearing surface (8) and the attack surface (10) are separated from one another by a distance which corresponds at least to the stroke of the valve stem (4) and,
- the locking member is produced in the form of a slide valve (14) which can move transversely to the direction of translation of the valve stem (4) with respect to the bearing surface (8), this slide valve going into the locking position in the space between the bearing surface (8) and the attack surface (10).
