<p>A safety device for preventing ignition of a gas lighter, which is superior in operability, durability and reliability. This device has such an arrangement that a safety switch for short-circuit discharging, which is separated from jetted gas, is provided between both poles of a piezo-electric member, and this safety switch is operated when necessary, whereby short-circuit discharging occurs between the both poles of the piezo-electric member, so that discharge for ignition is prevented, thereby preventing ignition.</p> |
