PURPOSE:To provide the title agent, also effective for relieving fatigue due to passive uneasiness, comprising a low-molecular peptide composition obtained by hydrolysis of protein using an enzyme. CONSTITUTION:The objective fatigue-relieving agent comprising a low-molecular peptide composition 200-550 in average molecular weight which can be obtained by hydrolysis at 40-60 deg.C for 18-48hr of protein derived from animals, plants or microorganisms (pref. lactoprotein or soybean protein) using an enzyme (pref. endoprotease active in neutral pH region). This composition consists mainly of dipeptides and tripeptides containing <=20wt.% of peptides with a molecular weight of >=700 and also containing <=5wt.% of free amino acids. The present agent is effective for relieving fatigue due to passive uneasiness as well as active exercise. |
