PURPOSE:To form an image having the image quality of a constant level even if the image is formed at high speed by providing a means setting fixing conditions according to a processing mode selected by a mode selecting means. CONSTITUTION:The image forming device is provided with a processing means 23 capable of selectively executing a first image formation processing mode 24 and a second image formation processing mode 22 in which the image formation processing is carried out at higher speed than that in the first image formation processing mode 24, when image formation processing is carried out, the mode selecting means selecting these processing modes, and a setting means 27 setting the fixing conditions according to the selected processing mode. Therefore, when an image formation processing mode is switched from the first processing mode 24 to the second processing mode 22 in which the image formation processing is carried out at higher speed than that in the first processing mode, the image forming device is driven at higher speed than that in the first processing ode 24, and simultaneously, a fixing device 17 is operated in the set fixing conditions according to the high speed mode 22, as well. Thus, the fixing conditions of a medium to be image-formed are sufficiently satisfied and the image having excellent quality can be formed. |
