<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the unequal surface texture and whitening of a molding surface by washing the surface of the inorg. molding obtd. by molding and curing of the kneaded matter of an alkaline metal silicate, inorg. solid component and filler with an aq. alkaline soln., etc., after the completion of the curing of the molding. CONSTITUTION:The inorg. molding is cooled down to nearly room temp. in or out of molds upon completion of the curing and the surface of the inorg. molding in the cooled state is washed with the aq. alkaline soln. in the method of producing the inorg. molding by kneading the aq. soln. of the alkaline metal silicate, the inorg. solid component and the filler and injecting the kneaded matter into the molds and heating the same. The surface of the molding can be efficiently washed by adopting the following washing method: The surface of the inorg. molding having >=50 deg.C surface temp. taken out of the molds without cooling after the completion of the curing is washed with the aq. alkaline or acid soln. of 4 to 14 pH or water.</p> |
