NIOBIUM- CONTAINING GLASS

摘要

The niobium-containing glass is applied in optics and appliance assembly for the production of lenses, prisms, lamellas and fibre-optical elements. It has an indicator for light refraction ne 1.55-1.60 and a coefficient of dispersion ve 40.2-55.0. It has a pronounced lower ability for crystallization and an enhanced light permeability in the visible and infrared part of the spectrum. The glass contains in weight part.% silicon dioxide 40.5-55.0; diniobium pentoxide 10.0-25.0; barium oxide 3.5-19.0; kalium oxide 10.0-22.0; diarsenic trioxide 0.2-0.4; diantimonic trioxide 0.1-0.3 and upon necessity up to 7.0 of kalium fluoride and up to 16.0 of barium fluoride.
