A display panel (8) with e.g. seven rows of notes (9) is straddled by a slider (10) in which correspondingly sized windows (11) are arranged in rows and columns. Major and minor keys w.r.t. a selected fundamental (2) are represented by optical and/or acoustic indications (using LEDs or LCD-display). All of the main and subsidiary stages which belong to the established key (1) can be displayed as harmonic triads in major (4) and minor (5) including seventh (6) modes in the fifth (dominant) stage, either simultaneously or individually. ADVANTAGE - Musician is enabled to find predetermined or freely selected harmonies quickly and clearly. Can be built-in directly into electronic musical instrument.
