The method automatically executes taxiing of an aircraft (8) along the ground. At least part of the total data received from one controllable displaying sensor (25) is transmitted to a computer. The data is processed and compared with reference data from a memory. The parameters for controlling the driver are calculated taking into consideration the effect of wheel control, brake conditions etc.. USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables aircraft to drive automatically from start position, via predetermined route, to end position and to statically and dynamically recognise abstacles and react to avoid them without need for great variation in structure.
