The appliance for temporarily removes the entire seating in a hall. It forms a rigid unit (2) to which are fixed flexible pulleys (5), esp. cables or chains which run upwards. The unit (2) is thereby raised and lowered to and from the ceiling or one wall. The chairs or seats can be fixed to a panel, and the pulleys (5), which have counterweights, ae incorporated in the walls, esp. in panelling. Rubbish on the seats is shaken off into containers, especially bags. The unit (2) has a protective dust-cover (9). USE/ADVANTAGE - The appliance for temporarily removing hall seating requires no additional storage space and is easily manipulated.
