PRODUCTION OF METALLIC FIBER FOR ADDING CONDUCTIVE RESIN

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce inexpensively and efficiently a metallic fiber for conductive resin by supplying the bundle of many pieces of metallic stock wires impregnat ed and integrated with a low melting pt. metal into a cylindrical metallic tape and forming the enclosed stock, then reducing and working the stock to a desired size. CONSTITUTION:The bundle (a) of many pieces of the metallic stock wires impregnated and integrated with the low melting pt. metal is delivered and is let off from a bobbin 1. The metallic tape (b) delivered from an un-coiler 2 is placed longitudinally along the bundle (a) of the metallic stock wires via a guide roll 3 and is formed to a cylindrical shape by forming dies 4 to enclose the bundle (a) of the metallic stock wires. The enclosed stock (c) produced in such a manner is reduced and worked by many caliber rolling rolls 5 disposed in series to form a metallic fiber compsn. (d) while a lubricant (e) is dropped from a lubricant supply pipe 7. The fiber compsn. is taken up on a take-up bobbin 6 via a guide roll 3. The metallic tape is removed from the metallic fiber compsn. (d) when Cu or Al is used as the metallic tape.
