Compounds having the formula <FORM:1064129/C2/1> are described in which X is an anion, R is alkyl (or unsaturated analogue), cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl and Y is acylamino, etherified mercapto, dihydrotriazinyl or phenyl (optionally substituted). Compounds per se are claimed, in which R is C1- 5 straight-chain alkyl and Y is benzamido or R1-S-, R1 being C1- 4 alkyl or optionally substituted PhCH2 or Ph. Examples describe the preparation of such compounds by reduction followed by diazotization of the corresponding nitro-compounds, and the preparation and m.p.s. of the latter are also given. |
