PURPOSE:To realize various modulation contents unitedly with a small amount of modulation data by varying the reading speed of waveform data according to modulation information read out of a modulation information storage means stored with plural pieces of modulation information. CONSTITUTION:The pieces of modulation information for varying the reading speed of musical sound waveform data on a musical sound waveform, etc., or basic waveform data on the basic waveform of a sine wave, etc., like real- time sine composition, an FM sound source, and a PD sound source. Then the reading speed of musical sound waveform data is varied according to the modulation information. Consequently, the pieces of modulation information corresponding to variation in timbre, tone length, etc., and variation in one musical sound effect can be stored by one modulating device and the best modulation contents for various musical sound states are easily realized. |
