PURPOSE:To produce the title carrier excellent in photosensitivity at a low cost by forming a photosensitive layer consisting of polysilane contg. amorphous silicon fine powder on a substrate having a conductive surface. CONSTITUTION:The photoconductive layer 2 consisting of polysilane 4 contg. amorphous silicon fine powder 3 is formed on the substrate 1 having a conductive surface. Since the a-Si fine powder 3 having an excellent charge generating capacity is dispersed in the polysilane 4 having an excellent charge-transfer property, the photoconductive layer 2 has excellent sensitivity as the electrostatic latent image carrier. Furthermore, the carrier is produced at a low cost, because the photosensitive layer 2 is formed on the substrate 1 having a photoconductive surface by coating. |
