PROCESSING OF WOVEN CLOTH OF STAINLESS STEEL

PURPOSE:To form a seamed part having uniform thickness and free from hole and interruption of seam by rubbing corrosion-resistant metal powder weldable with stainless steel into the circumference of a woven cloth of stainless steel and subjecting the cloth to seam-welding. CONSTITUTION:Powder of a corrosion-resistant metal weldable with stainless steel and selected from stainless steel powder, nickel powder, chromium powder and their mixture is rubbed into the circumference of a woven cloth of stainless steel. The cloth is subjected to seam-welding by irradiation of laser beam or electron beam or with an arc.
