PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of using two optical fiber sheets and to obtain an inexpensive reader for optical sheet by using optical fibers at intervals of several fibers of an optical fiber sheet for illumination, and the other fibers for reading. CONSTITUTION:A lighting light source L for illuminating an optical sheet 2 is provided, and rear end sections 10b of optical fibers 11 at intervals of several fibers of an optical fiber sheet 10 are faced to the light source L to illuminate the fed optical sheet 2 from the tip sections 10a of the fibers 11 at intervals of several fibers. The reflected light from the sheet 2 is led to a reading means through the other optical fibers 11 of the sheet 10. Since the one optical fiber sheet 10 is used for illuminating the sheet 2 and reading dots printed on the sheet 2 in such way, an inexpensive reader for optical sheet can be obtained. |
