PURPOSE:To omit manual complex decision by automatically recognizing respective reference points of a regular pattern having plural reference points by means of a computer. CONSTITUTION:When a skew pattern is inputted by a skew pattern image reader 14, image processing such as binarizing processing and thinning processing is applied to the read image data by an image processing part 14. Respective reference points of the regular pattern having plural reference points are automatically recognized by means of the computer. Namely, an intersecting point of two thinned lines is recognized, the position of a picture element on the intersecting point is recognized as a reference point position, a branch point branching one thinned line into two lines is recognized, another branch point close to the former branch point is recognized, and then the position of a picture element on the intermediate point between both the branch point is recognized as a reference point position. Consequently, manual operation can be omitted and labor can be reduced. |
