PURPOSE:To prevent a band-type medium from slacking, by bringing braking pieces into slide contact with braking surfaces provided on the peripheries of a pay-out shaft and a take-up shaft to apply the brake on the rotation. CONSTITUTION:On the peripheries of a pay-out shaft 2 and a take-up shaft 3, braking surfaces 18 are provided. A pair of braking pieces 19 are provided so as to be in slide contact with the braking surfaces 18 and elastically supported by plate springs 20. Release pieces 21 for releasing the brake on the rotation of the pay-out shaft 2 and the take-up shaft 3 are formed intergrally with the braking pieces 19 and projected from a cassette case 4, whereby the slip of the pay-out shaft 2 and the take-up shaft 3, i.e. the slack of an ink sheet 1, can be prevented. By abutting the release pieces 21 against a frame 17 etc. of a printer, the brake on the rotation of the pay-out shaft 2 and the take-up shaft 3 can be released. |
