PURPOSE:To improve permeability in a vertical direction to an amorphous film by inducing uniaxial anisotropy in a direction equivalent to the gap depth of a magnetic head for which an amorphous soft magnetic film having a specific function is used. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous soft magnetic film whose saturation magnetic flux density is large corresponding to a metallic magnetic recording medium purposing a high recording density is used for the magnetic head. An amorphous film 2 is formed on a magnetic substrate 1 and after that, a heat treatment in a fixed magnetic field is executed beforehand in the direction equivalent to the gap depth direction at the time of completing the magnetic head A track processing to a part 4 to which a head core is glass-joined is executed, after that, a nonmagnetic material 5 is formed on the amorphous film 2 of a core 7 and the cores 6 and 7 are joined. The above-mentioned processing is also executed in the gap depth direction at the time of completing the magnetic head and when the uniaxial anisotropy is induced in said direction, the permeability improves. Next, when it is cut at a prescribed place, one good magnetic head without the degradation of the permeability can be obtained. |
