An electrical switching apparatus which is arranged in a housing having two or more parts and has an electromagnetic switch drive which is composed of a coil former (which is provided with an excitation winding), a stationary magnetic core and a moving magnetic armature, is distinguished by the fact that the coil former (11) is latched in a vibration-resistant manner to one housing part (14) and, for its part, supports the magnetic core (12) by means of integrally formed latching levers (28/30, 29/31), and is fixed in its position with at least virtually no play. <IMAGE>
