PURIFYING PROCESS FOR RIVER

PURPOSE:To treat the water in a river with a small equipment and purify the river with a high efficiency by disposing an aggregate of filter mediums consisting of plastic cylindrical bodies with flutes in a manner to be in contact with the flow of the river water. CONSTITUTION:A channel 18 is formed on a bed 10a of a river 10 along the flow 12 of water of the river 10. Then, an aggregate 16 of filter mediums 14 consisting of hollow cylindrical bodies with flutes constituted of flute sections 14a and ring-shaped recessed sections 14b disposed alternately in said channel 18 in the state of being wrapped with a wire mesh. The water of the river 10 flowing in contact with the aggregate 16 of said filter mediums 14 is purified effectively by means of the large surface area and the large voids of said filter mediums 14.
