PURPOSE: To constitute a system of simple circuits by constituting the system of a switching circuit for switching a discharge maintaining voltage power supply terminal and a discharge voltage power supply terminal, a signal impression terminal for switching the switching circuit and plural driving circuits for driving respective electrodes on a gas discharge panel by the impression of terminal voltage from the switching circuit. CONSTITUTION: The system is constituted of the switching circuit 2 for switching the discharge maintaining voltage power supply terminal 31 and the discharge voltage power supply terminal 32, the signal impression terminal 4 for switching the circuit 2, and plural driving circuits 11, 12,... for driving respective electrodes on the gas discharge panel by the impression of terminal voltage from the circuit 2. Both of discharge maintaining voltage Vs and discharge voltage Vw are impressed to respective electrodes at prescribed time to discharge electricity from the electrodes. Consequently, the constitution of the discharge voltage source and the discharge maintaining voltage source can be simplified and discharge and discharge maintenance can easily be executed. |
