PURPOSE:To execute collection and analysis of operation history at one location as to plural information processing units by allowing a monitor controller to start/stop each tracer through a channel and applying the start in the same timing by a start control circuit. CONSTITUTION:In sending a trace start signal from a monitor controller 1, tracers 2a-2c in each information processing unit receive it via channel 3a-3c, it is recognized by a command control circuit 6 and a start signal is sent to a start control circuit 7. The circuit 7 applies a required calculation and sends a storage start signal to a memory write/read control circuit 12 based on the result. Thus, the storage of the tracers 2a-2c is started at the same time. The fault analysis data of the information processing unit to be sampled by the clock signal inputted from input terminals 14a-14n is written and stored in a semiconductor memory 11 by the circuit 12. If a fault takes place in the information processing unit, the controller 1 stops all tracer to apply the required processing thereby comparing and analyzing the operation history of each information processing unit.
