PURPOSE:To permit common and stable driving of resist rollers as well by connecting a transmission means for driving the resist rollers to the position of a driving power transmission means for supplying driving power to developing means and fixing means which is apart from the driving power supply part to the fixing means. CONSTITUTION:This image reader is constituted of the driving means 52 which drives at least the developing means 121, 122 and the fixing means 21 via the same driving power transmission means and the transmission means which is connected to the position of the driving power transmission means apart from the driving power supply part of the fixing means 21 and transmits the driving power transmitted by the driving power transmission means to the resist rollers 17. The common and stable driving of the resist rollers 17 is thus permitted as well by connecting the transmission means for driving the rollers 17 to the position apart from the driving power supply part to the fixing means 21.
