1. Mixer particularly for preparations of plastics material, containing : a) a rotationally symmetrical mixing vessel with a peripheral wall (7; 53, 54; 71, 72, 73) and two end walls (6; 51, 52; 74, 75), b) a stirrer shaft (8; 61; 70) which is arranged coaxially with the mixing vessel, passes through at least one end wall and bears mixing blades (9, 10; 62; 84), c) a drive means (2; 63; 87) arranged outside the mixing vessel and connected to the stirrer shaft, d) in which parts of the mixing vessel are movable relative to one another in such a way that the mixing blades and one end wall of the mixing vessel are freely accessible in the cleaning position, characterised in that e) at least one part of the peripheral wall of the mixing vessel is movable relative to the two fixed end walls.
