PURPOSE:To make a warning signal of braking emittable to succeeding cars even in time of filament burnout in a stop lamp, by installing such a circuit that lights at least symmetrical left and right turn signal lamps at the rear when braking takes place in time of filament burnout in the stop lamp. CONSTITUTION:Either a stop lamp SL or SR or both are burned out in their filaments, an electric current running in a coil 3 is decreased or comes to zero even in time of braking, turning a lead switch 4 to OFF, and thereby battery voltage is impressed to a transistor 5 which is therefore turned ON. With this, a burnout indicator lamp 8 is lighted as the current flows in this lamp whereby a driver can perceive the filament burnout of these stop lamps SL and SR. Likewise, when a car speed is above the setting one, a car speed switch 15 is turned on, and the current flows in a burnout check relay 16 as well, turning contacts 17-19 to ON so that pulses out of a flasher unit 9 flow in each of turn signal lamps FL, RL, FR and RR, therefore these lamps FL, RL, FR and RR go to flash, serving as a warning signal against succeeding cars, thus the prevention of a rear-end collision can be well promoted. |
