PURPOSE:To execute telegram transmission which is independent of the speed of a converter and to attain high speed communication by setting a communication speed high after an interteleprinter is connected, and transmitting a telegram with this speed. CONSTITUTION:With a call from a teleprinter on the side of transmission, communication starts, and the converter receives the call and transmits a dial enabled signal A. The printer on the side of transmission receives the signal A and transmits the dial signal B of a communication opposite. The converter calls a designated teleprinter, and the printer on the side of receiving inverts a transmitter porality and answers. The converter executes an answer back request C and the receiving side receives this and executes an answer back D for the transmitting side. Then, the transmitting side transmits a speed up request code E and an answer back request F. If the receiving side executes an answer back G, the transmitting side transmits a telegram H at a prescribed speed. If transmission terminates, the transmitting side returns to an usual speed and generates a line cut request J. Thus, high speed communication can be executed.
