The distribution chamber (3) of a ski wax applicator is supplied with hot air and coupled to a stationary, or swivelling, front tube member which has a number of bore (6) for hot air supply to the ski running surface. The chamber is able to spread the molten wax (11) over the running surface by an arm (8). The distribution chamber can form an intermediate space forming a jacket of a small trough for the ski wax, dripping in molten state through corresp. bores of adjustable size. The applicator pref. has an inlet blow line (2), associated with the outlet of an electric hair drier or a similar electric appliance (1). The distribution chamber is typically connected to this inlet blow line. The perforations for wax dripping may be adjusted, or even fully closed by threaded pins, acting as needle valves.
