PURPOSE:To make respective printing dots uniform by improving that temperature becomes lower and a printing dot area becomes smaller according as thermal resistors having the same area and the same space therebetween go successively nearer to both ends, by a method wherein as the resistor is arranged nearer to both ends of the line from the central part of a thermal resistor line, the area (width) of the thermal resistor is made larger and its space is made smaller. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal head in which a plurality of thermal resistors are arranged in a line at respective spaces, the widths of at least several thermal resistors are made successively smaller and at the same time, spaces 5a...5g are made larger from both ends 2-1, 2-8 to centers 2-4, 2-5. Therefore, the energy applied to the line of the thermal resistors becomes larger according as the resistor is arranged nearer to both ends. The printing at both ends is prevented from becoming light, so nearly uniform printing dots can be obtained. Further, since the printing spaces at both ends are made narrower, printing dot gaps at both ends which generate in a conventional head can be reduced, and the printing quality can be improved. |
