PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of disconnection and buckling in a conductor connected with a solid-state image pickup element with a simple constitution, by coating at least the angle section of the conductor with a protective net. CONSTITUTION:Of the conductor 13 connected with a solid-state image pickup element 11 housed in the inserting section 1 of an endoscope, at least the section positioned to an angle section 3 is coated with a protective net 14. The protective net 14 is coated by an extremely flexible smooth tube 17 made of silicone resin, etc., over its length. Therefore, the protective net 14 can freely be deformed and, accordingly, the resistance does not increase at the time of angle operation. Moreover, no disconnection and buckling occur in the conductor 13, since no excessive tensile force and compressing force are applied to the conductor in accordance with the deformation of the protective net 14.
