PURPOSE:To execute telecontrolled operation modes and an automatic answering telephone mode with one set of telecontrol device so as to expand the utilizing range of the device, by providing a demarcator, incoming call detecting circuit, and microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:When a circuit is switched to a telecontrol device A side by means of a demarcator 1 and a call signal is inputted from the outside, the call signal is changed to pulses through an incoming call detecting circuit 3 and inputted to a microcomputer (micon) 7. The micon 7 actuates a switching circuit 4 in accordance with the number of inputted pulses, connects the circuit with a telephone circuit 5, and sends an answering message and selection message to the calling subscriber by means of a sound producing circuit 8 through the telephone circuit 5. Thereafter, the micon 7 starts time measurement by means of a timer 7d and, when no key input is made within five seconds to the selection message, sets a sound recording and reproducing circuit 14 to the sound recording mode. When a key input is made through an MF signal receiving circuit 6, the telecontrol operation mode is set. Thus both modes can be executed by switching and the utilizing range of this telecontrol device can be expanded.
