PURPOSE:To make the ratio of smooth movement to accurate stoppage settable in an easy manner, by converting a rotary cylinder into rectilinear motion of a moving body as rotating it with rotation of a feed screw via a directly partial contact part between the feed screw and an internal thread. CONSTITUTION:Rotational motion of a feed screw 1 is transmitted to a rotary cylinder 2 being installed in the moving body 6 of a moving object and regulated for rotation via a bearing 5, at a partial contact part 4 with the internal thread 3 installed in the rotary cylinder 2, whereby the rotary cylinder is rotated at a peripheral velocity corresponding to that of the feed screw 1. Here, since a minor diameter of the rotary cylinder 2 is set to be larger than a major diameter of the feed screw 1, there is produced a difference in rotation frequency between the feed screw 1 and the rotary cylinder 2, so that the rotary cylinder 2 is moved in the longitudinal direction as far as for that portion on the partial contact part 4 with the feed screw 2, and the moving body 6 is also rectilinearly moved. Thus, a degree of contact between the feed screw and the internal thread can be set optionally, whereby the ratio of optimum smooth movement to accurate stoppage conformable to property of the moving object can be set in an easy manner.
