<p>PURPOSE:To detect stably a part adhered with a splicing tape by using a light detection means having an optical axis oblique to the face of an endlesstape to detect the difference of reflected light. CONSTITUTION:The photodetection means 20 consists of two optical fibers 25, 26, supported by a support base fixed to a rotary shaft of a pin roller and arranged near the endless tape 2, the tip 24 of the means 20 is held within 5mm on the surface of the tape 2 and the light axis of the means 20 is supported so as to be oblique to the face of the tape 2. The light of a light source 29 irradiates the tape 2 through the optical fiber 25, its reflected light passed through the optical fiber 26 and enters a detection circuit 32 via a photodetector 31. Since the reflectance of the tapes 8, 2 differs from the part adhered with the splicing tape 8, the presence of the tape 8 is detected by a circuit 32 and no malfunction takes place by the optical axis arranged obliquely.</p> |
