PURPOSE:The titled glass, consisting of calcium phosphate, a compound of Li, Na and/or K and specific metallic compound and having a low viscosity and improved water resistance as well as moldability. CONSTITUTION:Calcium phosphate glass obtained by blending a mixture of (a) >=70wt% calcium phosphate prepared by blending CaO with P2O5 at 0.2-0.7 atomic ratio (Ca/P) of P to Ca with (b) one or two or more selected from compounds of Li, Na and K in amount of 0.02-15wt% expressed in terms of Li2O, Na2O, K2O and (c) one or two or more selected from compounds of B, Al, Sc, Fe, Ga, Y, In and lanthanide (generically maned A) in an amount of 1-20wt% expressed in terms of oxide A2O3 and melting the resultant blend while heating.
