PURPOSE:To obtain the titled paint which is crosslinkable, has a high softening temp. and is suitable for use in coating electric wires by melting separately each resin component with heating, mixing resin components and extruding the mixture, by using a polyol resin and a polyisocyanate resin in combination. CONSTITUTION:A solvent-free crosslinkable polyurethane paint consists of a combination of a polyol resin with a polyisocyanate resin. Said resins are mixed and extruded to coat electric wires. Pref. the polyol resin and the polyisocyanate resin have a melting temp. of not higher than 300 deg.C and a number-average MW of 150-5,000. It is necessary that at least one of the polyol resin and the polyisocyanate resin is a tri- or polyfunctional resin. When the tri- or polyfunctional resin is used, the crosslinkable paint can be obtd.
