PURPOSE:To suppress and to prevent sulfation corrosion effectively in the use of a low-quality fuel at an ultrahigh-temperature part, by adding Fe (compound) and an alkaline earth metal (compound) to a fuel (atmosphere). CONSTITUTION:(A) Fe or a Fe compound and (B) an alkaline earth metal or alkaline earth metallic compound [preferably Mg or Ca and preferably blending ratio of Fe2O3/MgO=1/2-2/1, Fe2O3/CaO=1/2-2/1 and Fe2O3/(MgO+ CaO)=1/2-2/1] are added to a fuel or a fuel atmosphere to prevent high- temperature sulfation corrosion.
