PURPOSE:To enable a higher revolution to be set up with the same main spindle diameter and to have bigger diameter of a main spindle with the same revolution, by setting outer rings in a housing, setting rolling grooves for rolling members along the outer periphery of the main spindle in its turning direction and supporting said spindle without using any inner ring. CONSTITUTION:Outer rings 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 are set on the inner surface of the housing 15 of a main spindle head 11 and the rolling grooves 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 for the outer rings 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 are set and the spindle is supported without setting an inner ring at the outer peripheral surface of a main spindle 16. Accordingly, the center distance Dm01, Dm02 of rolling can be decreased by twice amount of the thickness of the inner ring, and the revolution can be increased for the same dimension of the main spindle 16, moreover, the diameter of the main spindle 16 can be increased for the same revolution.
