The sprayer is for use in a garden or greenhouse, having a multi-section plastics housing with inlet union for connection to a feed pipe, and an outlet discharging to a spray pattern. A throttle body with first flow passage is mounted in the housing between inlet union and outlet. - Part at least of the body (24) is of elastic material e.g. rubber. It is so supported in the housing that the incoming liquid strikes it at the passage, causing it to distort and narrow the latter.
